Austin George Dorgu Jr. is a Nigerian contemporary visual artist. His artistic practice, Contemporalism, blends contemporary art with hyperrealism. Dorgu's love for art began at a young age. He would draw from magazines and cartoons on any surface he could find. He continued to focus on art throughout his early schooling and later graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Bells University of Technology in Ogun State, Nigeria. In 2016, Dorgu rediscovered his passion for art when he encountered Contemporalism. He honed his skills and began practicing art professionally in 2018.
