Chidube Emmanuel’s work examines meeting moments in the quotidian life observed in his immediate environment. Working using acrylic paints on canvas or watercolour on paper, his subject matter ranges from figures in interiors to urban landscapes and occasional still life subjects.
His work often characterised by having a muted pallette and a simplified rendering style evokes a feeling of nolstagia. Recently, he’s delving into the realms of expressionism through slight distortions of the human figure and space manipulation. Chidube Emmanuel was born in 1996 in Lagos state, Nigeria where he resides and works.
