Welcome to "Survive and Thrive," an exhibition celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law. This showcase features the works of 20 artists, each embodying the spirit of resilience and success that defines the legal and artistic
communities.
The title, "Survive and Thrive," reflects the challenges and triumphs faced by both aspiring and established figures in business and art. The Nigerian art scene thrives despite facing its own set of hurdles. This exhibition highlights the ingenuity and perseverance of Abuja's artists, showcasing their diverse practices that continue to evolve and flourish. This curated selection features works of established names to emerging talents, each artist brings a unique perspective to the theme. Through their works, we encounter a spectrum of emotions, narratives, and techniques.
As curator, I am particularly excited to present the sheer variety of artistic expression on display. The exhibition encompasses a range of painting techniques and mixed media. By experiencing this diversity of contemporary practices, we gain a deeper understanding of the artistic landscape that thrives within Abuja.
This exhibition marks a unique collaboration between the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law and the Windsor Gallery. It underscores the shared values of innovation, resilience, and a commitment to excellence that drive both legal and artistic endeavours.
"Survive and Thrive" serves not only as a celebration of artistic achievements but also as a call to action. It encourages viewers to contemplate the challenges and triumphs inherent in pursuing creative pursuits. We hope this exhibition inspires and empowers both artists
and viewers alike.
